Letters written to our Intake Coordinator...

    Dear Ms. Haven Stumpf,

I'm just writing to tell you how much I've enjoyed the tour you gave the morning of November 17th 2009, to the Native Women's Transition Center. I really enjoyed everything about the building itself, especially the history behind it, and I have never would have thought such thing! I also loved the renovations, stories that come with the building, especially the spirituality that the building holds. I very much liked the presentation n tour you gave, and appreciate how much you shared with us not only about the school but yourself on a personal note. It gave us motivation, especially myself, I enlisted in Turtle Island 2 days later to finish my grade 12. I would have loved to go to your school but, as I had asked you while I was there if independent study was an option, It wasn't. I hope sometime in the near future that can be an option for your school as I'm sure there is many more women like me who would love the opportunity to have the 2nd chance to get ahead in their education.

To conclude my letter, I just want to tell you to keep up the good work, great presentations and keep motivating people to finish their grade 12 and/or post secondary education.

    Sincerely ,

    Geri Valiquette

    To Haven

Hi, my name is Deanne Simard, and I am residing at NWTC and we as a group attended the Urban Circle last Tuesday for one of your tours. I have been on a tour there before but I guess I was just not ready to hear or listen to anything the person was saying, but this time I really want to do something with my life and one my biggest goals is my education. All of the information that you gave, I found to be very very helpful especially the way you presented everything. So I thank you very much and I look forward to seeing quite a bit of you.
